Young Dub-Seattle's Emerging Artist

 

Young Dub is an upcoming artist from the Pacific Northwest and like many young artists out there he is following his dream.But what makes him stand out from the rest is the question you must ask yourself in order to recognise who he really is not only as an artist but as a young man.

We have all told ourselves to give up at a certain moment in life when we come across a point that we begin to doubt our Dreams, passion and drive but that has not been the case for Young Dub. For many of us Music can be a way to express our emotions For example, brighten up our mood throughout our day or maybe on our way to work. And for others Music plays an entirely different role in their lives. For Young Dub the music has not only saved his life but has got him through the worst time of his life. Not too long ago he had to undergo not two or three but five major hip bone Surgeries and if that doesn't seem bad enough he also had to be in bed rest for six months, after his third surgery.

 This was critical for a young man like Young Dub who wanted to pursue his dreams as a performer. Many of us would have quit our Dreams and given up but not Young Dub. While in bed rest for six months he began to use that time to write music and express his emotions through writing in order to keep his focus and dream alive. He began to learn how to walk but not like many others in his position but rather without crutches or walkers that would make it difficult and challenging. After hard work and dedication he proved he didn't need assistance after all and that sometimes for us to get better at something we have to do it on our own terms.

While he continued to write and learn how to walk not only did he get better but his drive and passion for music had progressed. Out of the hospital and ready to pursue his dreams as an artist Young Dub was out of the hospital just in time for a talent show. Not only did he amaze the audience with such awe but had won first place, a first step towards his upcoming success.After hard work and determination Young Dub has now been a member of Macklemore's residency program focusing on creative songwriting, performance techniques and beat production for about 2 years. With all the Expierance and passion needed for success Young Dub is ready for the next level after opening for artists like Luniz and Mr.Hotspot alike.

Next year Young Dub is set to perform at a huge Masquerade event in las Vegas. He plans to continue his career as an artist and help upcoming artists grow along the way.We hope Young Dub's Journey inspires our readers to do a little more than just believe in your dream but to take action and never take no for an answer. Young Dub turns 21 years old today November 20th.
