  Edited by Silver GS I’ve always been in love with music, when I was young I would listen to Green Day, black eyed peas, Tupac, TLC, Usher, Kanye, 50 cent, and other artists and that’s what really got me into music at a young age and gave me my inspiration. In elementary school 50 was the main artist I looked up to, and later I found out I had the same birthday as him which is wild. In middle school I started writing poems/verses for fun in a notebook, and kept doing that into high school. Then I got to free styling at the lunch table or between classes with my homies for fun, and I realized if these dudes I look up to can do it then why can’t I?  Music got me through my worst times and made me remember the best times, and I’ve always wanted to make music that other people can experience things to the same way I did. Ray Northwest is only 23 and has been making music since the age of 16. He first recorded in a music studio in Spokane called 4am Studios with Isiah Mozez in 2015 and has since then grown his passion in music. Ray Northwest has been releasing music and singles and performing shows all throughout Washington state and at times even out of state. Ray Northwest's main objective when it comes to music is to do as much as he can to expand his talent and music. The idea of sharing his music with other people is what motivates him to continue what he does as an independent hip hop artist.
